  33. Are you booting from lilo ? In that case you have to reinstall lilo
  34. after making a new kernel. (usually make lilo will do this for you. 
  35. Or you can go to /etc/lilo and type ./install manually after 
  36. copying the new kernel where it belongs. (= where specified in the
  37. install script)).
