  10. I have a no brand S3 911 VGA card, and I got the following error 
  11. when I start XS3 0.3.1 (on SLS with 0.99 kernel)

  13. Unknown S3 chipset: 82
  14.  
  15. Any clue what's the reason?

  17. Although X seems run smoothly and fast (compare with the damn
  18. Open Desktop).

  20. I've also grabbed Xfree86-1.1 from ftp.robot.uk.ac, but it never
  21. reports the clock setting of my VGA card, I use the following
  22. command line:-

  24. startx -- ./Xfree86-1.1 >& out ; sync ; sleep 1 ; sync
  25.  
  26. But Xfree86-1.1 reports that no supported chipset is found and die!
  27.  
  28. Moreover eventhough I run XS3 0.3.1, the startup message said it's
  29. 0.2 alpha, is it normal?
