  15. I have problems installing the SLS 0.99 release ... I installed the base 
  16. system only. Then it created a boot floppy. Now it refuses to boot from the 
  17. floppy ... It starts the boot then the screen goes to 80x50 or something.
  18. It keeps going ... looks for and does not find any scsi devices (good - I do
  19. not have any ! ) ... checks out the memory (all 16MB of it) ... finds the 
  20. floppy drives ... then :

  29. My system is as follows:
  30.     386/40 DX w/64k cache
  31.     16MB RAM
  32.     1de 213MB Caviar HD
  33.     1.44MB (A:) and (1.2MB) B: floppy drives
  34.     an 8 bit WD8003 card
  35.     9600 baud internal modem
  36.     et4000 based card w/1MB
  37.     logitech "first Mouse"

  39. I would really appreciate it if somewone would help me out here. 
  40. I would eventually like to test out the tcp/ip stuff for LINUX too.

  42. I would suspect that the ethernet card is a problem but ....
  43. any suggestions? 
  44. (I believe that this sort of a problem has occurred before .. but 
  45. I cannot readily recall where and to who ...)
