- I have setup the lpr package that I just FTP'ed. But when I
- either start the daemon (lpd) from rc.local or the command line
- (i.e. /dev/etc/lpd &) it dies with no signs.
-
- The output from lpq:
-
- <<< Output from lpq >>>
- Warning: no daemon present <--------- It's dead
- Rank Owner Job Files Total Size
- 1st root 2 readme.lpr 2466 bytes
- 2nd root 3 t 3 bytes
-
-
- Daemon permissions:
-
- <<< Permissions of lpd >>>
- -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 37892 Nov 19 23:32 /usr/etc/lpd
-
- Any clues would be appreciated.
