- I tried to reproduce that behavior with a couple of cards, but Linux always
- correctly disregarded the printer port (0.99p1 + CONFIG_AUTO_IRQ).
- Did your card manual sheet state explicitely that no jumper means disabling
- the port?

- Meanwhile, further postings concerning the multiple port issue appeared:

- YOU DON'T NEED THOSE 4-PORT-CARDS, PLEASE CHECK FIRST WETHER YOU
- CAN USE TWO STANDARD CARDS (with configurable IRQ's 5, 7 or 9).

- Even if the low IRQ's are already in use (i.e. Seagate SCSI ST02 needs IRQ 5)
- its relatively simple to use IRQ's 10 to 12 with those cards and a few wires.
