  11. I am trying to install Lilo onto a floppy 1.44 Mb 3.5 inch disk
  12. before I decide to install it on the hard drive that I boot off of.
  13. I have followed all the instructions given an have also scoured other
  14. sources but I still get the same message. (Lilo 0.7):
  15. (something like)
  16. "lists the FD parameters which are incorrect because they
  17. are actually my HD parameters" then ...
  18. "Expecting version 7. This is version 3 you butthead"
  19. Well I annotated that a bit, but I says that my boot sector is a 
  20. version 3 and it then dies.  I can be more specific about the problem
  21. if this is not a common mistake out there.

  23. My command line instruction is:
  24. lilo -b /dev/fd0 -i boot.b -v -v -v /Image
  25. and I have no config file.
