- Hi...
-
- Just downloaded, compiled and installed gettyps204 from
- tsx-11...still, for some reason, does not fix my problem :(
-
- I must be missing something somewhere, so here is my sad
- tale...
-
- First, I'm hardwiring a laptop running Linux to another
- Unix box for testing purposes. What I want to be able to do is
- run kermit from either to log in to the other.
-
- Now, if I put uugetty in my /etc/inittab file, it allows me
- to go from the non-Linux box into Linux, but not the other way around.
-
- Now, in /usr/spool/uucp, there is a LCK..ttys0 file just sitting
- there. On my ps listing on the non-Linux box, I have:
-
- 'login ....'
-
- Now, since installing FAS 2.09 on the non-Linux box...I haven't
- had to worry about uugetty...what am I doing wrong? :( Is there a difference
- between connecting to Unix machine together directly or through modems?
-
- Thanks...
-
- Marc
