- Hello fellow Linuxers: Happy Holidays!
- I compiled the extended file system defrager edefrag, and it worked very
- well, giving my hard drive a boost in speed. Thanks to the author(s).
-
- There has been a lot of discussion about efs stability. I've been using
- the extfs almost from the day it was available, I had to hack the kernel to
- be able to mount it. Way back then, I reinstalled the system a few times,
- because the file system started acting strange, but I never lost the drive.
- Lately, though the extfs has been rock solid, with zero problems for at
- least the last 5 months. I just have one big extfs (100+megs).
- Thanks Remy and friends. Just another unsung linux hero :-).
-
- Michael.
