- After I upgraded my kernel to 0.99pl0, any new X program that I compile
- under that kernel bombs with some sort of strange error. For example:
- Seyon 1.5: attempt to manage child when parent not Composite
- xxgdb 1.06: Couldn't find per display information.
-
- Any binaries that I already have (like my old copy of xxgdb) run just fine.
- It's just the new stuff that I compile under the new kernel that dies. This
- also happens under the .99pl1 kernel. I haven't changed my X setup since
- I got Xfree86 1.1 (Xlinux 2.1) when that came out a while ago. I'm using
- gcc 2.2.2d7, and I just got libc.so.4.2 installed, although the same thing
- was happening with libc.so.4.1. Any ideas? Should I try reinstalling X?

- You say you haven't heard of CSH? You will...
