- You can recompile the kernel and set the default in the top level Makefile.

- You can reset it to a mode you want, or just have it let you choose.

- I would suggest upgrading to 0.99pl1 with Lilo v.0.7. This will allow you to
- boot up, and set the video mode from the lilo command line.
