- I have the latest SLS version up and runnig with x on my 486. The sls was
- aquired from sunsite on Dec 19. If I am correct I have Xfree861.0 running right
- now. Is this correct?
- If so how do I upgrade to version 1.1? What are the differences between 1.0 and
- 1.1? Why doesn't te SLS distribution have 1.1? The info sheet says 1.1
- ex\hibited 'strange' behavior. What does that mean?
-
- I also have some system questions. Sometimes when I boot(I use a floppy) my
- system does not report com 2 which is my mouse. How do I get linux to look
- again for the port once I am logged in. I don't want to reboot all the time.
-
- If I download the source for a new kernel does it automatically unpac into the
- proper directories or what? How does that work?
-
- Thanks for all your help.
- p.s I am still trying to find a working xload for xfree86v1.0.
