- I have been working away at getting X visable on my system and things
- seem to be progressing well except that whenever I exit from twm the
- system refuses to return to character mode. Hence I am doing a lot of
- blind shutdowns. If I restart X all is well with the world again.
- I also cannot seem to define my card as "tvga8900" in the Xconfig
- file. If I do so I simply get a blank screen. My documentation for
- the card actually says 8900c Is this an important difference? I am
- using SLS 98.p5(?) on a 486 dx with 8 meg ram and a large swap
- partion. My monitor is a Viewsonic 5(?)
- I have included at the end of this note a redirected error output from
- a sample session.
