  11. I'm looking for some help getting some linux applications up
  12. and running.  Since there does not seem to be a comp.os.linux.[help,bug]
  13. newsgroup I'll post here.

  15. I've recently installed linux 0.98 ! The installation was very smooth 
  16. and I was impressed. Next I tried to install uucp and XFree86 without
  17. much luck.

  19. UUCP:
  20.      uucp commands run with no error messages but with no results. 
  21.     there are no created in any of the uucp directories. It seems
  22.     as if no command was executed.

  24. XFree86:
  25.     After what seems like a good installation when I execute startx
  26.     I get the following.
