  16. Do you need this info for fdisk? If so, and you know the capacity of
  17. the drive, you can `fake' it. As I understand it, linux does not use
  18. the drive geometry. It just puts it in the partition table to keep 
  19. DOS happy. When linux talks to the SCSI controller, it talks in 
  20. terms of blocks, and lets the controller/disk (?) translate to
  21. cylinder/sector/head.

  23. So....if you set heads=64, sectors=32 and cylinders=<capacity of 
  24. drive in Mb> everything should work ok. i.e. with 64 heads and
  25. 32 sectors, each cylinder is 1Mb.
