- Hi,
-
- I looking into buying a 486 dx2/66 for linux and ms-dos. I've seen
- systems with an EISA bus and one or two VESA local bus slots (yes,
- both). Does linux work with EISA and local bus? If not, will EISA and
- local bus be supported in the future?
-
- Assuming linux will work with local bus and eisa, should I put the hard
- drive controller on an EISA or local bus slot? And it's best to put the
- video card the the VESA local bus slot, right?
-
- If you have linux running on a EISA/VESA system, I'd like to hear from
- you. please e-mail me at tn0s@andrew.cmu.edu
