  16. Does anybody know whether LINUX supports an ATBUS harddisk together with
  17. an ADAPTEC 1542 B and a SYQUEST for example.
  18. I have setup MS-DOS 5.0 at the PC and I need the ADAPTEC and the SYSQUEST
  19. under DOS, but more space for LINUX would not be too bad also.
  20. But if I put the ADAPTEC board into the PC and connect the SYQUEST, the 
  21. system hung if in booting sequence for LINUX you can read:
  22. SCSI host detected or so.
  23. The LED on the ADAPTEC board in on at this moment.
  24. Problems on my system:
  25. I cannot run LINUX from the ATBUS harddisk yet (problems with doinstall, with
  26. the new bootdisk I get a cold reset with memory test, or system stops with
  27. a general protection failure, the different errors occured, after I had chosen 
  28. to install whole base system or base and X 11.
  29. Are there running systems from the IDE-harddisk with an extra ADAPTEC ?
  30. Probably another problem on my system: A ARTISOFT (Lantastic) 
  31. Ethernet-Adapter is plugged in also. (IRQ 10, ADAPTEC is on default (IRQ 11)
