  13. Help!! For the first time ever, I've down loaded SLS 0.99 and I cant
  14. get Linux to see my hard disk. (home system)

  16. MY SYSTEM
  17. ---------
  18. 486/33 700MB SCSI hard disk, Future Domain TMC860.
  19. SVGA, MS Bus Mouse, DRDOS, OS2 2v0.

  21. The hard disk is partitioned using OS2 fdisk as follows:
  22. 1. DRDOS    Bootable   C:Primary FAT           31MB
  23. 2. os2_root Bootable   D:Logical HPFS          60MB
  24. 3. os2_data Bootable   E:Logical HPFS         140MB
  25. 4.          none       F:Logical FAT           32MB
  26. 5. Linux    Bootable   G:Logical FAT           64MB
  27. 6.          free space                        307MB
  28. 7.          startable   :Primary BOOT MANAGER   1MB

  30. WHAT I DID
  31. ----------
  32. I created the linux partition using OS2's fdisk.
  33. I then booted the box using SLS a1 (boot) and SLS a2 (root).
  34. When linux boots it says:
  35. /dev/ram  on / type minix
  36. /dev/hda2 on /mnt type minix
  37. /dev/fd0H1440 on /user type minix (defaults)
  38.  
  39. MY PROBLEM!!

  41. When I type fdisk it says "unable to read /dev/hda". 
  42. If I try /dev/hda2 it says the same.

  44. Also linux seems to think that my mouse is a Logitech mouse whereas
  45. its an MS bus mouse.:-(
