  11.     As a SYSOP of The Buffalo Computer Society I want to have
  12. LINUX on the system for people to download.  The Buffalo Computer
  13. Society is presently run on an SGI R3000 Indigo, and it's a Public
  14. Access UNIX system.  (They call up they get a shell, simple, easy, and
  15. flexible.)

  17.     This is the thing, I've gotten a few things from tsx-11, but I
  18. want to know what I should get exactly to make installation, and
  19. system maintenance as painless as possible.  I don't have DOS or
  20. Windows software on the BCS as people can call one of many numerous
  21. other PD DOS systems out there.  The Buffalo Computer Society dwells
  22. mainly on UNIX, with some stuff for Mac & Amiga.

  24.     Could someone please send me a list of stuff to get?  Mainly
  25. concentrating on:

  27.     Telecommunications, pcomm, or something of that sort.
  28.     UUCP
  29.     Mail
  30.     TCP/IP Networking
  31.     ?NFS? - Maybe?
  32.     SLIP
  33.     ?PPP? - Maybe?

  35.     Window Manager???

  37.     Also, does LINUX .99 have Job Control like IRIX, or BSD?  Just
  38. wondering as I have never run it.

  40.     In short the mission is to enlighten people in Buffalo (The
  41. most technologicly challenged CITY I've ever lived in!) about UNIX,
  42. and that it's not what PC-Magazine has made it out to be.  I've got 3
  43. people on my system who run it, and they want more...  Should I just
  44. go and FTP all of the SLS package?
