- Pardon my ignorance, Bob, but I assume you are talking about creating
- custom hardware, which could be *very* expensive. I have been looking
- at a dumb 4 port board from Tiawan for about $35. There are no uarts on
- the board. I also looked at an xt linked to coh via arcnet. The xt has
- no hard drive and offers 640kb (- os ram) to split up between ports. It costs
- ~$100. The 4 port board is $35, uarts (450's) are $20 and arcnet is
- $70 for pair. Project costs are then ~$225. Can be expanded to 8
- ports for another $55.
