  32. Pardon my ignorance, Bob, but I assume you are talking about creating
  33. custom hardware, which could be *very* expensive. I have been looking
  34. at a dumb 4 port board from Tiawan for about $35. There are no uarts on
  35. the board. I also looked at an xt linked to coh via arcnet. The xt has
  36. no hard drive and offers 640kb (- os ram) to split up between ports. It costs
  37. ~$100. The 4 port board is $35, uarts (450's) are $20 and arcnet is
  38. $70 for pair.  Project costs are then ~$225. Can be expanded to 8
  39. ports for another $55.

  41. Can a custom board be created for around that kind of money?
