  22. A mention of linux here or there or Linus popping up and making a comment
  23. doesn't bother me.  It's more or less one individual who insists on filling
  24. this group with all kinds of nonsense.

  26. Let me fill some people in on nettiquette:

  28. Many systems, especially Coherent systems, get their news through a UUCP
  29. feed.  This means they call up another system and download their news.
  30. This basically means they are *paying* per message to get their news.
  31. For those that read at school/work, you might not give a flying circus
  32. if something is crossposted world, but those of us who pay for the news
  33. do.  I don't get many groups, and the ones I get I would like to contain
  34. the info I need, or allow me to help people that want help.

  36. So kill files mute the problem, but don't stop it.

  38. However, those on systems at work/school are also at the mercy of the
  39. sysadmin who I will gladly notify if this nonsense keeps up.  Root is
  40. not pleased at receiving 20 messages from other sysadmins that one of
  41. his users is an idiot.  Trust me on that.
