- I tried to hook up Canon BJ-10v printer (Japanese version of
- BJ-10-something sold in USA) on my Coherent using DOS LPT1: device
- (port 0x378) But /dev/[r]lpt1 did not work - yes, as SHOWN IN THE
- LEXICON, /dev/lpt1 WAS FOR PORT 0X3BC! This really irritated and
- confused me - the correct answer was to hook it up on /dev/lpt2.

- On my Gateway2000 486DX/33, printer ports are assigned as follows:
- LPT1: -> 0x378
- LPT2: -> 0x3bc
- LPT3: -> 0x278
