- Okay, if I understand it correctly, there is nothing wrong with using my
- opcode midi-translator with my powerbook 100.
-
- Fine idea, cept it isn't working. I've turned off appletalk. Still nothing.
- These are the symptoms:
-
- 1. I am using Finale
- 2. When I launch Finale, the screen continually flickers (and even though the
- power book is plugged in) the da i have for showing me the state of the power
- says I'm not plugged in that the battery is running low etc etc.
- 3. When I attempt to send a file to my Yamaha PSR 400, Finale responds by
- telling me that the MIDI interface is not working.
-
- Okay, you say, "PB 100 and OPCODE MIDI Translator" work fine. What software
- do they work fine with, and WHAT is the "MIDI manager" and how do I get it
- and is it designed to work with Finale. Or should I buy something like
- Opcode's EZ Vision to run my PSR 400?
-
- I mean, I like Finale, but I would like the portablility of being able to
- take the PSR with me and the PB 100, so if there is some cheaper sequencing
- software around that is known to work then I could buy that and use the MIDI
- files I created with Finale to take with me on the road.
-
- Is this making any sense.
-
- Thanks for listening again.
