  13. My friend is a proud owner of the LAPC-I soundcard, an impressive piece
  14. of hardware (considering its several years old!).

  16. For those not familiar with the LAPC-I, its simply the MPU401 PC interface
  17. card and the MT-32 sound module combined onto a single full size AT card.
  18.  
  19. The MT-32 has got 128 premade sounds.  These sounds get a bit boring after
  20. a while and one starts longing for more variety.
  21.  
  22. There are programs (like Ballade) that allow you to change sounds (i.e.
  23. make your own) and most games upload a new soundbank into the MT-32.
  24.  
  25. Thus my question is: Where can I get more sounds for the MT-32?

  27.                      - Are there available shareware programs that help
  28.                        you make your own sounds and store them?
  29.                      - Is there a standard file format for "Sound Banks"?
  30.                      - Is there a way to capture the sounds of the MT-32
  31.                        and upload them again later?  (useful to capture
  32.                        sounds uploaded by the games)
