- My friend is a proud owner of the LAPC-I soundcard, an impressive piece
- of hardware (considering its several years old!).
-
- For those not familiar with the LAPC-I, its simply the MPU401 PC interface
- card and the MT-32 sound module combined onto a single full size AT card.
-
- The MT-32 has got 128 premade sounds. These sounds get a bit boring after
- a while and one starts longing for more variety.
-
- There are programs (like Ballade) that allow you to change sounds (i.e.
- make your own) and most games upload a new soundbank into the MT-32.
-
- Thus my question is: Where can I get more sounds for the MT-32?
-
- - Are there available shareware programs that help
- you make your own sounds and store them?
- - Is there a standard file format for "Sound Banks"?
- - Is there a way to capture the sounds of the MT-32
- and upload them again later? (useful to capture
- sounds uploaded by the games)
-
- Thanks in advance.
