- I'm looking for any advise on a good NOTATION type of sequencer/song
- writing program for my DOS system. I'd prefer to use Windows as my system
- interface.
-
- I use the Music Quest MQX-32 MIDI card, so I want to access the 32 channel
- capability of this board. If I have a choice, I will always write the music
- in notation form and edit it in the same form. I've heard that Cakewalk has
- a notation screen and I'd appreciate any information on how that works. I'
- ve also looked into Score (from Passport) but I don't know how bug-free that
- program is.
-
- Years ago, I used Roland's EASE program for the MT-32. That program crashed
- every few operations, but it did almost everything I wanted it to do. I use
- Master Tracks Pro IV now, but I'm not very happy with that, especially the
- piano roll note editor. I'm not even slightly interested in editing in the
- MIDI event mode. What I want is a standard bar-and-staff notation system.
- Sort of like what musicians expect.
-
- Thanks for any assistance you can offer.
