- My previous post succeeded in finding out some information about
- PC Hurricane. It is a video capture board that can capture
- (into 32M ram) approx 16 seconds. Stores in RAM as 16 bit TGA.
- Using "Xing Technology" software mpeg encoder, it appears to
- take about 5 minutes to capture and encode a 16 second movie,
- for a ratio of about 18:1 (18 hours to capture/encode 1 hour of
- full motion video).
-
- It appears that there currently is NOT an inexpensive integrated
- video capture and mpeg encoder available?
-
- Does anyone have a list of 24 bit color capture boards for
- PC or MAC that capture in real time (ie capture a five second
- movie in five seconds!). Appears that currently mpeg encoding
- would have to be a seperate process.?
-
- Questions for self, not the company I work for.
