  13. My previous post succeeded in finding out some information about
  14. PC Hurricane.  It is a video capture board that can capture
  15. (into 32M ram) approx 16 seconds.  Stores in RAM as 16 bit TGA.
  16. Using "Xing Technology" software mpeg encoder, it appears to
  17. take about 5 minutes to capture and encode a 16 second movie,
  18. for a ratio of about 18:1 (18 hours to capture/encode 1 hour of
  19. full motion video).

  21. It appears that there currently is NOT an inexpensive integrated
  22. video capture and mpeg encoder available?
  23.  
  24. Does anyone have a list of 24 bit color capture boards for
  25. PC or MAC that capture in real time (ie capture a five second
  26. movie in five seconds!).  Appears that currently mpeg encoding
  27. would have to be a seperate process.?
