- This is the only comp. group I have access to, so apologies if some of
- the net.police think this post is inappropriate.
-
- I recently purchased and installed an internal ZOOM V42bis Faxmodem.
- It apparently is more senstitive to line noise than my old 2400 card
- when I am accessing boards with old modems (such as my host here).
-
- I am already using the commands to force a 2400baud no protocol
- connection and am still getting noise. I do not think it is the house
- wiring because my roomate attempted the same connection with his high
- speed modem without any problems.
-
- I could use some suggestions on how to reduce this annoying quirk of
- progress.
