  10. Due to a problem with directory protection on our system, a few
  11. entries such as the following were logged in UUCP's LOGFILE:

  14. daemon uupsi (12/30-9:17-1341) COPY (FAILED)

  18. Being not very experienced with uucp, I don't know if the above means
  19. that these items were lost, or ended up being retransmitted.  Did our
  20. side acknowledge receipt such that the sender system was satisfied and
  21. discarded these items, or did our system send a NAK and were these
  22. items then resent using a different ID?  We're running Ultrix 4.2.

  25. newsfeed is a bit shaky at the moment.
