  26. Yeah.  When I first installed 5.67 out of the Reno distribution, I wasn't
  27. thinking and forgot that sendmail needs the static compilation to work with
  28. the .fc files on a Sun.  The Reno documentation of course does not expect
  29. people like me to steal Renoware for use on a Sun...  So we experienced
  30. lots of mail problems for a day until I realized that it was dying when I 
  31. froze the file.  It took me another two months to get around to finding 
  32. out WHY (I learned THAT lesson the hard way).

  36. 1) Sendmail startup speed is dramatically SLOWER.
  37. 2) At the syslog mail logging level I use, I was getting a warning message 
  38.    every time sendmail was invoked that the .fc wasn't present.
