  11. I have this orphan Unix System V (release 3.2) 88000 based machine
  12. (actually, I have 8 or 9 of them!) and the vendor supplied sendmail
  13. (without smail) version seems to be rather brain-dead.  They munged the
  14. configuration files beyond belief and managed to make it fairly
  15. impossible to do uucp properly.

  17. I am trying to determine if it is more beneficial to try generating a
  18. proper .cf file using the materials from the BSD sources, or whether I
  19. should get Sendmail+IDA and try building from scratch.

  21. There is a socket library, with the #include files in (mostly) the
  22. proper places, so it's not apparently a problem with the actual
  23. interfaces.
