- I have this orphan Unix System V (release 3.2) 88000 based machine
- (actually, I have 8 or 9 of them!) and the vendor supplied sendmail
- (without smail) version seems to be rather brain-dead. They munged the
- configuration files beyond belief and managed to make it fairly
- impossible to do uucp properly.
-
- I am trying to determine if it is more beneficial to try generating a
- proper .cf file using the materials from the BSD sources, or whether I
- should get Sendmail+IDA and try building from scratch.
-
- There is a socket library, with the #include files in (mostly) the
- proper places, so it's not apparently a problem with the actual
- interfaces.
-
- Opinions appreciated.
