- Depending on modem, there is probably and s-register for this. My USR
- modems, for example, let you put in the number of minutes of idle time
- that you want and it will disconnect after that amount of time.

- Alternatively, you can get untamo (ask archie for location) and it will
- automatically logout users who exceed a certain idle time (it can do many
- other things, supposedly--I don't use it myself).
