  12.    I've tried the method suggested in the FAQ for adding ">"s to the
  13. beginning of each line of the replied-to message, and am slightly
  14. dissatisfied, since it ignores blank lines.  (I'm using version: MH
  15. 6.6 #1[UCI] (ics) of Tue May 24 15:51:53 PDT 1988; options: [BSD42]
  16. [BERK] [TTYD] [DUMB] [MHE] [NETWORK] [BIND] [RPATHS] [SBACKUP='"#"']
  17. [SENDMTS] [SMTP].)

  19.    This may still be an FAQ (though it wasn't in the file).  Why
  20. doesn't the following work?  (In the repl filter file:)

  22. body:formatfield="> %{text}"

  24.    If I understand the mh-formatting commands correctly, this
  25. instructs that "> " should be printed, then the text line that was
  26. handed to the formatter.  However, the body component seems to
  27. completely ignore _any_ formatfield= definition.  Is there some reason
  28. that this is so?  It seems that being able to use the formatting
  29. commands would be as useful in the body as anywhere else.
