- Is it possible to make MHN do something intelligent with showing octet
- streams that *aren't* "tar" files? For example, MHN chokes on the first
- message Keith Moore sent, because it doesn't know how to display the
- octet stream. (I know how to make it *store* the octet stream; I am
- referring only to *showing* the stream.)
-
- As near as I can tell the "tar" and "compress" stuff is hardwired into
- MHN and it doesn't pass this info onto any program invoked from a
- "mhn-show-application/octet-stream" template.
-
- I suppose one could make a show program that looks for magic numbers,
- but this seems sort of kludgy at best. Is there a better way?
-
- Thanks,
