- I take it you replace the various mail programs delivered by the
- vendor (/bin/mail, /usr/bin/mail, /usr/ucb/mail, /usr/bin/mailx,
- /usr/ucb/mailx, etc.) with mhmail. I'm not sure of all the names of
- all the mail programs which all the vendors deliver. I'm not even
- sure how to _find_ them all. I think this is risky; it's very
- important for cron, et al. to be able to send me or any other user
- mail when required or requested....

-
- MH does. John made mention of it. It's present in MH-6.7.2, but I
- don't know which release marked its debut.
-
- I'm hearing lots of _opinions_ about what to do, and not much
- rationale or hard facts. Please understand: I value the opinions you
- and others present and _assume_ based on your net.stature that you
- have good reasons and plenty of experience which caused you to form
- your opinions. I'm just not convinced that the situations you
- experienced are the same as what I face.
-
- Perhaps we can organize a comparison of the two approaches? I'll
- formulate a comparison and start another thread suitable for
- shredding.$$
