  12. I just installed mh6.8, and discovered the MH config I thought to be right
  13. has a problem. As found in the documentation, MH was built for an environment
  14. where `hostname` returns the FQDN, and mail is sent to come from a certain
  15. host inside the domain, i.e.
  16. domainname = ica.philips.nl
  17. My workstation = filter
  18.  
  19. When I send mail, it seems to come from 'geertj@filter', or, after adding
  20. localdomain in ~mh/lib/mtstailor, from 'geertj@filter.ica.philips.nl'.
  21. However, I want it to come from 'geertj@ica.philips.nl', i.e. from inside
  22. the domain, without hostname.

  24. I remember doing some very ugly surgery in mh6.7, and I hope there is a 
  25. cleaner way. I studied the (thousands of) options, but so far have not found
  26. the right knob to twist. Is there an easy way?
