This is the Information I gathered about sending E-Mail to online services. If anyone sees any errors or has any information I don't have here please respond.
Applelink: (Put @applelink.apple.com after their names.) (e.g. Mac.Bible@applelink.apple.com or MAVERICK.SFT@AppleLink.Apple.com)
AOL: (Internet to America Online) Creating the Internet version of an America Online address requires that you know the conversion rule. You ignore the case, remove the spaces, and add "@aol.com" to the end of the address. Thus, an America Online address "Jane Doe" becomes "janedoe@aol.com" (without the quotes, of course). Internet mail incoming to America Online is trucated at 27 kilobytes. (e.g. Mac Bible on AOL becomes macbible@aol.com)
BIX: (Byte Information exchange) Fee required to receive external mail user@dcibix.das.net should work.
Compuserve: (say Gregory Wasson at 72511,36. Is 72511.36@compuserve.com) (xxxx.xxxx@compuserve.com) Back to fidonet: I know MacInfo is 1:204/555.6@fidonet is that right, but how d\o I send it to a specific Echo? The proper format is 55555.555@compuserve.com ,with the comma being replaced with a period. 'compuserve.com' and 'csi.compuserve.com' I got this by trying the command 'whois compuserve' which is a good way to get started. To send mail to an Internet address from Compuserve, just preface the addr
ess with ">INTERNET:", like so: >INTERNET:pnh@panix.com. I think. Compuserve's on-line help facility can confirm this or correct any tiny errors of form I may be making. As for extra charges, for all I know maybe Compuserve charges an extra fifty cents for Internet messages or something.
FIDONet Addresses: To send mail from an Internet site or smart UUCP Site TO a user that calls a Fido-Net system. You need to know the name of the person and node number of the Fido-Net system that the person uses.
The address of a FidoNode looks like this: 1:105/302.0. Usually the 1: and .0 are left off, but they are there by default. (In Europe it is 2: and in the Pacific Basin it is 3:.) That address can be translated as "Zone 1, Net 105, FidoNode 302, Point 0." or p0.f302.n105.z1. Add the FidoNet domain of .fidonet.org to the end of that, chop off the p0 (it is again, a default) and you have f302.n105.z1.fidonet.org - the "Fully Qualified Domain Name" of a FidoNode. Another example is 1:105/4.3 which would be wri
tten as p3.f4.n105.z1.fidonet.org (since there is a point number other than 0, we have to specify it). Note also that we are only using zone 1. This will also work for zones 2 and 3, just use z2 or z3 as appropriate.
FidoNet uses full names of the callers. Multi-part name folks (eg. First Last, ie. "Dale Weber") will have a period '.' seperating their names. So, lets say you wanted to send mail to Dale Weber at 1:105/55.0, you would address your letter to: Dale.Weber@f55.n105.z1.fidonet.org.
(e.g. John Doe at 1:105/4.3 is at Zone 1, Net 105, FidoNode 4, Point 3 otherwise known (on Internet) as John.Doe@p3.f4.n105.z1.fidonet.org). FidoNet: 1:204/555.6@fidonet ?
Genie: To send email to a GEnie account, append "@genie.geis.com" to the recipient's GEnie address. However, the catch is that GEnie users have to agree to pay an extra monthly charge before they can send or receive Internet mail. Not a great bargain, particularly compared to rival Compuserve -- which is particularly odd since in most other respects GEnie seems to be going for the low-price market niche. (They certainly aren't selling system response.)

Notice there appears to be two ways to send E-Mail to FidoNet a complicated way (p3.f4.n105.z1.fidonet.org) and a simple way (1:204/555.6@fidonet) do these both work, I so Why use the harder one?
