  24. The permissions on you mail file aren't relevant, the permissions on the
  25. mail spool directory are.  If the mail spool is
  26.  
  27. drwxrwsrwt (3777) then Elm does not need to be setgid and anyone can install it.

  31. drwxrwxr-x (775) then Elm must be installed setgid to the same group as
  32. the group of the mail spool directory (usually mail). This requires
  33. sysadmin privs.
