  12. I compiled elm succesfully on a RS6000. BUt when I tried running it I got
  13. the message "Can't open lock file need write permission on /usr/spool/mail"

  15. I am not the super user and my permissions on my mail file are set to

  19. I am not sure whetherI can be granted write permission on this file or not.
  20. I was just wondering whether there is any other way to fix this.
