  14. I am having a problem with elm since my sysadmin (who does not support elm)
  15. made some unspecified changes in our system. Every time I try to
  16. "resynchronize" a folder, elm dies out and the /usr/spool/mail/pullin file
  17. gets its owner changed. Instead of looking like this,

  19. % ls -l /usr/spool/mail/pullin
  20. -rw-rw----   1 pullin   system     43987 Dec 22 09:44 /usr/spool/mail/pullin
  21.  
  22. it looks like

  24. % ls -l /usr/spool/mail/pullin
  25. -rw-rw----   1 nobody   nobody     43987 Dec 22 09:44 /usr/spool/mail/pullin

  27. I guess it must be some conflict of read/write protection, but I cannot 
  28. figure out exactly what. Has anyone experienced such a problem?
