  21. The equivalent under DOS drivers is DEVICE=EMM386.sys ....which also
  22. causes strange bugs while debugging.

  24. The answer is simple: configure QEMM to forbid from loading it's
  25. equilvalent to EMM386.sys.

  27. I'm no expert, but by definition, a protected mode app definitely isn't
  28. interested in expanded memory, EXCEPT to know whether it exists, where it
  29. is, whether the app setting it up and using it is well behaved and playing
  30. by the rules.  I believe (and am willing to be contradicted by a more
  31. knowledgable person) that if the EXPANDED memory driver does not watch it's
  32. P's and Q's, it will destroy other residents of extended memory.
