  17. About: Linking seperate module into a program while it is already running.

  19. The exact problem is something like this: We are writing (as part of a
  20. project) a multi-tasking operating-process control system on an IBM clone,
  21. using TOPSPEED Modula II. The configuration is a Master-Slave one e.g.
  22. one computer operating at a remote site, connected to the master thru a
  23. modem link. We have the possibility to send thru any file across the
  24. comms link, and would like to be able to compile additional modules on
  25. the master, send them thru, and use them as a part of the main, which
  26. should be able to call on them as if they were 'ordinary' PROCEDURES. I
  27. have some experience doing this (in C, on an AMIGA), but as I am somewhat
  28. out of territory on the IBM, I haven't got the faintest where to start
  29. looking for additional info (additional to the little that is written in
  30. the manual I have).

  32. Has anyone out there tried this before ? Did it work ? How did you do it ?
