  13. In response to your (Gilbert Chew) question about "...why are there more C/C++ compilers on the market than Fortran?"  I think it's because Fortran is an industry language.  For those who do programming at home for a "hobby" probably don't think about doing it in Fortran.  I guess what I'm saying is, for home use, Fortran's not the usual way to go.  Businesses who use Fortran most likely got there Fortran compiler with there computer system.  Just MHO.
