- FORTRAN is still being used heavily for numerical processing.
- C and C++ are popular in the net world due to the newess of the
- languages. Thoses communities are still wrestling with language
- issues that were resolved long ago by the FORTRAN community.

- You should, in my opinion, use the language that best fits your
- needs and interests. FORTRAN will be around in 10 years, especially
- with the passage of the FORTRAN 9X standard, so that your FORTRAN
- skills will not be wasted. You should stay with FORTRAN if it meets
- your needs, and if it doesn't, switch.
