  25. to leverage off of someone else's work, I have told you the history
  26. of the title. I will repeat it here.

  28.     I sold the book to M&T as "Embedded Systems Programming in
  29. ANS Forth". My editor prompted me for a new title. After several tries,
  30. I came up with "ANS Forth: Programming the New Model". This was shortened
  31. by M&T to "ANS Forth: the New Model". ANSI objected to the title one
  32. day before the book was due to press. The lawyers took out the "ANS"
  33. and made it "Forth: the New Model." M&T made this change the night of
  34. the final proofing for publication. I was not specifically informed
  35. of this change in the title until two or three days after the book
  36. went to press. I have no objection to the new title, and I would
  37. like to hear if Kelly or Spies object.

  43.     I think there is little chance the reader will mistake my
  44. notorious name for the honorable Kelly & Spies, authors of the
  45. classical opus you cite. I have recommended that if you have any further
  46. questions, you refer this to my publisher, whose name and address I
  47. have given you in email. You have not replied to that email.

  49.     Besides, you curmudgeon, you're just sore because you made a
  50. fool of yourself on the net a few weeks ago saying, "Trust me,
  51. NO publisher" will ever again touch a Forth book (because of X3J14).
