  13. We are in the process of evaluating several CM systems. I am looking for
  14. software (source + [repository] + make files) to be used in the evaluation 
  15. process.

  17. Could anyone point me in the right direction for public domain
  18. software that I could use for my purposes. The desirable characteristics
  19. of such software are, in order of importance:
  20.  
  21. 1. Number of modules (files): 500 -  3000
  22.  
  23. 2. Executables are built using make
  24.  
  25. 3. The software is organized hierarchally (not all files are
  26.    dumped into one directory).
  27.  
  28. 4. Language C/C++ (other languages are ok if public domain
  29.    compilers are avaiable on Sun).
  30.  
  31. 5. Large number of versions per file.
  32.  
  33. Pointers to any reasonably large piece of software are appriciated, 
  34. even if it does not meet the above criteria.
