- Only documents that are indexed using the IUBIO waisindex can be
- searched using boolean terms. Is this true?

- For some reason, I was thinking that the boolean capability rested
- with the client. But I just realized that, even though our server was
- built with the IUBIO WAIS package, I'm not able to do boolean searches
- on many of the WAIS databases I've looked at.

- I hope I'm not restating the obvious here, but, if this is true,
- it could lead to some real confusion for the naive user. I can see
- them searching an index with a term like "X and Y" but getting hits
- for "X or Y" without necessarily realizing it...
