- Autodesk 3D Studio is the better package if we compare it to the Amiga
- version of Imagine 2.0. I think the 3D Studio interface as well as its
- commands and options are better than Imagine 2.0 on the Amiga. Of
- course the IBM version may be different or it may be a 3.0 version
- release. Another thing to consider is that 3D Studio comes in at a
- hefty $2500.00 I believe and list on Imagine PC will probably be
- somewhere around $500.00.
-
- Imagine, however, is a very powerful package. I think it will give 3D
- Studio a run for the money even in its current state once it is
- released.
-
- One thing that will be nice about it is that those with Amiga's can get
- both versions, do all the layout work on the Amiga and use some bare
- bones 486's (possibly networked together) to do the rendering chores.
- This should result in some pretty reasonable rendering times.
