- Hi Guys,
- I had a question. I am working on a project involving
- graphical user interface (GUI) developments in C++.
- The top priority in this project is the portability of the developed
- application on to platforms such as Windows, Windows NT, Motif(unix) and
- presentation manager (OS2). As a first step my job is to
- survey and order a portable GUI application framework or toolkit
- (software). I have made a survey and converged to 4 different
- packages namely
-
- 1) Open Interface by Neuron Data
- ______________
-
- 2) XVT by XVT Software
- ____
-
- 3) ZApp by Inmark Corporation and
- _____
-
- 4) C++/Views by Liant Corporation
- _________
-
- I am interested in knowing which of the above is probably the
- best software (Cost is of no factor) and also would appreciate
- If anybody can let me know of any other alternate software better than
- the above mentioned softwares. I would also like to mention that
- the application I will be developing is in C++ and hence need the
- GUI package best suited for this language.
-
- Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and
- can be mailed to me at
- rajsnr@iastate.edu
