  23. You may want to take a look at FIGraph, out "two-call" charting and graphing
  24. library built on top of PHIGS.  It comes with both a C and a FORTRAN binding
  25. and it does lines, bars, pies, and surfaces in addition to contours.

  27. What you are looking for is often called contouring of arbitrary data, as
  28. opposed to contouring of gridded data.  While it's true that FIGraph 1.0
  29. only contours gridded data, though it does contour both regular and irregular
  30. meshes, FIGraph 2.0 will contour arbitrary data by meshing the arbitrary
  31. data and then contouring the mesh.
