- One little tip: leave some money in your budget for some mass-offline
- storage, like a tape drive or (more expensive) a removable hard-drive
- because no matter how big a HD you get, it will not be big enough, and
- you will have to keep off-loading your produced files to have room to
- work. And you don't want to trow out anything you've made, just in case
- you need it again later: you would _not_ want to have to re-do those
- hours of solid modeling or rendering if you had already done them!

- it won't. If your main interest is in rendering to tape, then you
- might want to spend more money in the processing department than the
- accelerated-video-card department, and many big programs like 3DStudio
- and Animator Pro don't even run in Windows anyway. Save your money
- for a second-hand Targa board which will be useful for recording
- onto tape and, when using a targa-specific paint program like TIPS,
- is _much_ faster at panning and zooming than any paint package on
- expensive accelerated windows-friendly VGA boards. (You still need
- both though, because TIPS doesn't do some of the nice stuff Photostyler
- does...)
-
- If you have any more specific questions, send e-mail because I don't
- look here often...
-
- Good Luck!
