  14. emerged from Liant Software Corporation as an independent corporation.

  31. San Diego, Calf., December 4, 1992 -- Template Graphics Software (TGS)
  32. announced today its ownership has been sold to a group of investors
  33. represented by Landmark Ventures, Inc., an investment company based in
  34. Simsbury, Conn.  TGS, formerly operated as Liant Software Corporations
  35. Graphics Business Group, is now an independent corporate entity wholly
  36. owned by Landmark's affiliates and operated as a separate organization.

  38. "As an independent organization, TGS can better focus its efforts on the
  39. fast-paced graphics software tools market.  The transition also fulfills
  40. our strategy to secure additional investment for the company, enabling
  41. us to be better positioned for the growth opportunities in the emerging
  42. open system based graphics software market," said Terry Baker, Chief
  43. Operating Officer of Template Graphics Software.  Baker was formerly
  44. Vice President and General Manager of the Corporate Graphics Business
  45. Unit at Liant Software.

  47. Landmark Ventures, the investment management company acquiring TGS,
  48. focuses on high growth, technology-based companies.  Stanley Alfeld,
  49. chairman of the board and CEO of Landmark Ventures, is also chairman 
  50. of the board of TGS.  Alfeld recently resigned as chairman and 
  51. director of Liant Software Corporation.
